Abstract

Billie Jean King, a tennis legend, has been a pioneer for gender equality in sports. She faced gender discrimination in her early years and fought for equal opportunities and rewards for female athletes. King's efforts led to the establishment of the Women's Tennis Association and equal prize money at the US Open. She has since created the Billie Jean King Foundation and partnered with e.l.f. Beauty to promote diversity in the corporate world. King believes that sports can teach valuable leadership skills and hopes to inspire future generations of female athletes.
