Abstract

The article reports on legal trends in the U.S., particularly the reported increase in politicized libel cases across the country. Also cited are some lawsuits like the 2022 case filed by tax services provider Ryan against newspaper "USA Today" and parent firm Gannett Co. due to alleged publication of false and defamatory articles and the developing trends in defamation cases like forum shopping and the demand for huge damage awards.
