Voter Registration in the United States: A Call for Change.

Abstract
The article calls for change in voter registration in the U.S. It examines the history of voting rights and the role of social work in combating barriers to voting and voter registration. It informs about the National Voter Registration Act and legislative efforts aimed at voter suppression. It proposes the integration of voter information that state and federal agencies collect and urges social workers to facilitate informed public participation in shaping social policies and institutions.
