Abstract
The article focuses on the severe energy crisis in Cuba caused by a United States-imposed total oil blockade, which has led to rolling blackouts, hospital strains, and the suspension of jet fuel services. The blockade intensified after U.S. sanctions halted oil shipments from Venezuela and Mexico, Cuba's main suppliers, following U.S. threats of tariffs. The crisis has disrupted medical services and food supplies, prompting humanitarian aid from the U.S. and Mexico, while the United Nations warns of worsening conditions if oil needs remain unmet. Cuban officials have condemned the U.S. actions as aggression but expressed willingness to engage in dialogue under their own terms, amid U.S. calls for regime change.
