Abstract
Sikorsky Innovations, a division of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, is focused on advancing helicopter capabilities through the development of four technology pillars. The first pillar aims to increase helicopter speed, with Sikorsky working on helicopters that can fly twice as fast as conventional models. The second pillar focuses on autonomy, with the development of a software library called Matrix that enables helicopters to fly without human pilots. The third pillar involves using data analytics to improve aircraft maintenance and reduce costs. The fourth pillar explores the use of electric propulsion and hybrid-electric drivetrains to reduce fuel consumption and operating costs. Sikorsky is also integrating these pillars into unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to create innovative products. [Extracted from the article]
