Abstract

The article discusses the actions of the Biden administration in relation to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It highlights how the US government has used its diplomatic powers to veto UN Security Council resolutions for a ceasefire in Gaza, and how it has undermined resolutions that called for a halt to genocidal actions by Israel. The article suggests that other countries could use the Uniting for Peace mechanism to overcome US vetoes and take action against Israel, such as imposing economic sanctions or setting up an International Criminal Tribunal. The article also criticizes the reluctance of other countries to utilize legal options to curb Israel's actions. [Extracted from the article]
