The article presents annual rankings of 34 automakers based on their Overall Scores, which combine road-test results, predicted reliability, owner satisfaction, and safety data. BMW ranks first with a score of 82, followed by Subaru at 80, and Porsche in third place, also at 80. The rankings highlight that while some brands, like Ford and Toyota, may have high-scoring models, they also have lower-performing ones, emphasizing the importance of checking individual model ratings. The article recommends models from seven brands—BMW, Porsche, Honda, Mini, Kia, Mazda, and Acura—indicating that these can be purchased with confidence.
