Abstract

Moon Unit Zappa, daughter of art rock legend Frank Zappa, gained fame at the age of 14 for her collaboration with her father on the song "Valley Girl." However, her home life was difficult, with an absent father and emotionally abusive mother. In her new memoir, Earth to Moon, Moon discusses her complicated relationship with her parents and her journey towards healing. Now a mother herself, Moon is focused on giving herself a second chance at a happy childhood. [Extracted from the article]
