Abstract

This article presents an integrative taxonomic revision of the freshwater snail family Lymnaeidae from the northeastern margin of Asia (Far East Russia, Japan, Korea) and Alaska, identifying 14 native species across eight genera within two subfamilies: Lymnaeinae and Amphipepleinae. The study describes three new species—*Galba pacifica*, *Kamtschaticana nipponica*, and *Orientogalba hokkaidoensis*—and reports three alien species in Japan. The Japanese Archipelago is highlighted as an evolutionary hotspot with seven native species, including three endemics, while biogeographical analysis suggests historical faunal exchanges across the Beringian Land Bridge influenced current species distributions. The revision also addresses taxonomic clarifications and phylogenetic relationships using multi-locus molecular data, contributing to a more resolved understanding of Lymnaeidae diversity and biogeography in this region.
