Abstract

The article discusses some archaeological finds in the city of Nineveh or Mosul, Iraq, particularly the seven gypsum slabs showing intricate carvings of mountainous landscapes, palm trees, grapevines, and neo-Assyrian warriors in battle. According to University of Pennsylvania archaeologist Michael Danti, they also discovered reliefs of Sennacherib. Also cited is the comment of archaeologist Darren Ashby on the discoveries.
