Abstract
The article "Defining Moments" discusses two significant events in history. The first event is the Loving v. Virginia case in 1967, where the Supreme Court ruled that laws banning interracial marriage in the US were unconstitutional. The case involved Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple who had been convicted under Virginia's Racial Integrity Act. The second event is the release of the film Jaws in 1975, directed by Steven Spielberg. The film, based on a novel by Peter Benchley, became a major success and is considered the first Hollywood blockbuster. [Extracted from the article]
