Abstract
"King Ranch: A Legacy in Art" is a book that showcases the work of artist Noe Perez, who captures the beauty and vastness of South Texas's King Ranch. The book includes a brief history of the King family and the development of the ranch, as well as a summary of the evolution of Texas impressionism. The paintings in the book, completed between 2015 and 2020, depict the various holdings of the ranch and represent the Texas impressionist style. The book also explores the rise of Texas impressionism and the ranch's promotion of regional artists. While the book is visually appealing and informative, some sections, such as the syrupy history of the King family, may be less successful. Overall, "King Ranch" is a beautiful book that would interest fans of the American West and western art. [Extracted from the article]
