Abstract
John Lewis Partnership Plc saw a significant increase in profits by implementing a turnaround plan that focused on lowering prices, modernizing stores, and opening new supermarkets. Under the leadership of Jason Tarry, the company's annual profit before tax and exceptional items tripled to £126 million. Despite the positive financial results, John Lewis decided not to provide an extra annual payment to staff, opting instead to invest up to £600 million in updating stores and improving its supply chain. The company has not paid a bonus to partners for the past three years, choosing to invest in pay increases for employees instead. [Extracted from the article]
