ACADEMIC CONFERENCE BETWEEN TRAUMA AND TRIUMPH: 150 YEARS SINCE THE BIRTH OF WINSTON CHURCHILL (29-30 NOVEMBER 2024 SOFIA UNIVERSITY “ST. KLIMENT OHRIDSKI”).

The article announces an academic conference titled "Between Trauma and Triumph: 150 Years since the Birth of Winston Churchill," scheduled for 29–30 November 2024 at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski." The conference aims to foster an interdisciplinary discussion on Winston Churchill's historical role, inviting scholars from various humanities fields to present research on topics including Churchill as an author, his relations with the Balkans, cultural representations, war, international relations, empire, and his personal life. Submissions for participation and articles are due by 30 June and 31 October 2024, respectively, with options for both in-person and online attendance. The conference will be conducted in Bulgarian and English, and selected papers will be published in peer-reviewed proceedings.
