Abstract

In the article, the author discusses the archaeological finds in the Blackland Prairie in Alabama and Mississippi that showed the defiance and resilience of the Chickasaw. Also cited are how the Chickasaw were forcibly resettled to Oklahoma in 1837, the cultural identity of the Chickasaw, and the age of European colonialism.
