Abstract
The article focuses on recent talks between India and Switzerland to advance the implementation of the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) and enhance bilateral trade and investment. During an official visit by India's Commerce Secretary to Switzerland in May 2026, both countries reviewed TEPA’s progress and discussed measures to expand trade, strengthen regulatory cooperation, and address non-tariff barriers. TEPA, India’s first trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) economies, aims to integrate Indian products into European value chains, with Switzerland as a key gateway, while creating opportunities for diverse groups including farmers, fishermen, women, youth, MSMEs, and professionals.
