Abstract
The article introduces the concept of electronegativity, which is the ability of an atom to attract shared electrons in a covalent bond. It has no unit and influences various chemical phenomena. Electronegativity can be quantified using scales like the Pauling scale, Mulliken scale, and Allred-Rochow scale.
