Abstract
The article discusses how European leaders from Northern Europe and the Baltic countries, known as the Nordic-Baltic Eight, are taking a more active role in European integration and security issues, particularly in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Countries like Denmark and Sweden, traditionally hesitant about deeper European integration, are now advocating for initiatives like Eurobonds and increased defense spending. The Nordic and Baltic countries are collectively supporting Ukraine and showing strong public support for providing military equipment. Additionally, there is a shift away from far-right, pro-Russian sentiments in some of these countries. [Extracted from the article]
