Abstract

The article discusses two separate conferences that took place in Istanbul, Turkey in June 2013. The first conference focused on accounting and accounting history in the Balkans and Middle East countries, while the second conference was the third international conference on Luca Pacioli in accounting history. A total of 494 participants from 32 countries attended the conferences, and 183 papers were discussed. However, due to political protests, many individuals canceled their registrations.
