Abstract
Amazon MGM Studios has gained creative control of the James Bond film franchise through a new joint venture with Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. This agreement allows Amazon to distribute more Bond films in theaters and on its Prime Video platform. The deal, reportedly worth at least $1 billion, marks the end of the Broccoli family's long-standing control over the franchise, which has grossed nearly $8 billion in theater ticket sales since 1963. The move comes after Amazon's acquisition of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 2022, giving them rights to distribute all James Bond films. [Extracted from the article]
