Abstract

The article "Reassessing Jimmy Carter's Foreign Policy" discusses how Carter's diplomatic legacy has been viewed over time. Despite initial criticism for appearing weak, Carter's foreign policy initiatives, such as the Panama Canal Treaties and diplomatic recognition of China, have been seen in a more positive light in hindsight. While Carter faced challenges, such as the Iran hostage crisis, his pursuit of peace and diplomatic morality left a lasting impact on U.S. foreign policy. The article highlights Carter's high idealism and lasting contributions to international relations. [Extracted from the article]
