Abstract

The article offers information about a particular house in Poland that belonged to the ancestors of the author's wife, who lived in Sosnowiec, an unprepossessing town in the Zaglembie Dabrowskie region of Poland. Topics include the history of the Jews in Sosnowiec and Poland; Leib and Sarah Tuchschneider's family; and life in pre-war Sosnowiec.
