Abstract
World's Greatest PlacesKaratsu, Japan An Artisanal FeastFans of Japanese cooking and craft will delight in Mirukashi Salon. Unveiled in October in the Kyushu countryside, it provides a permanent base for Prairie Stuart-Wolff's series of intimate, culinary-focused trips in Japan's Saga prefecture. Guests might spend their mornings foraging for horsetail or bamboo shoots before gathering around a work island to learn to make dashi, musubi, and other staples of Japanese cuisine. Each of 2025's seven sessions also teaches traditional Japanese crafts like making washi paper.—Rebekah Peppler [Extracted from the article]
