Abstract
Bjoern Hoecke, a prominent regional leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has been fined €13,000 ($14,063) for using a Nazi slogan at a party rally in May 2021. The slogan, "Alles für Deutschland" or "everything for Germany," is covered by criminal laws banning Nazi symbols. Hoecke claimed that he was unaware of the phrase's connection to the Nazis, but the court rejected this defense. The AfD remains a significant political force in Germany, but its support has declined due to various controversies. Germany has criminalized the use of Nazi terms, slogans, and regalia in response to the Holocaust. [Extracted from the article]
