Abstract
The article focuses on the life and astronomical contributions of Tycho Brahe, a 16th-century Danish nobleman who pioneered observational astronomy despite lacking formal training in the field. Brahe developed a geoheliocentric model of the universe, in which planets orbit the Sun while the Sun and Moon orbit the Earth, aiming to reconcile scientific observation with prevailing religious and philosophical views. Supported by King Frederick II, Brahe built the Uraniborg observatory on the island of Hven, where he amassed extensive astronomical data that later aided Johannes Kepler’s work. Brahe’s legacy includes his innovative use of repeated observations and data collection, as well as his mentorship of astronomers, including his sister Sophia Brahe and Kepler.
