The State Historical Society of Missouri is offering two Center for Missouri Studies fellowships, each providing a $5,000 stipend for completing a scholarly article on either Route 66 in Missouri or Missouri Migrations. The Missouri Conference on History is also seeking proposals for the 2025 conference, which will cover presentations in all fields of history. The Art Gallery in the Center for Missouri Studies is currently hosting an exhibition called "Benton & Benton: The Senator and the Artist," exploring the art and material culture related to Senator Thomas Hart Benton and his great-grand-nephew, Thomas Hart Benton. The History on Elm series will resume in the fall, featuring programs on various topics related to Missouri's history. Additionally, the State Historical Society's 2024 My Missouri Lecture and Annual Meeting will take place on October 12, featuring Peter Herschend, co-founder of Herschend Entertainment Corporation.
