Abstract
The article examines recent developments in Asian American studies that engage with Indigeneity and settler colonialism through two key frameworks: comparative racialization and settler colonialism. It highlights Long Le-Khac's *Giving Form to Asian & Latinx America* (2020) and Quynh Nhu Le's *Unsettled Solidarities* (2019) as significant contributions that explore Asian American relations with Latinx and Indigenous communities across the Americas, emphasizing literary forms and hemispheric perspectives. The article also revisits early 20th-century Supreme Court cases involving Bhagat Singh Thind and Takao Ozawa, showing how their legal struggles over whiteness and citizenship reveal complex proximities between Asian American racialization, settler colonialism, and Indigenous dispossession. These analyses challenge conventional understandings of Asian American exclusion and inclusion by situating them within broader settler colonial and racial power structures, underscoring the need to rethink solidarity and racial formation beyond binary frameworks.
