Abstract
The article explores how Jules Michelet, a French historian, utilized morphological concepts to link nature and national history. Topics discussed include Michelet's integration of scientific models into his historical and natural writings, his view of nature as a "perpetual alibi" that connects past, present, and future, and the influence of Goethe's naturalist ideas on Michelet's approach to both natural history and national evolution.
