Abstract
The 2024 Public Library Association conference will feature a diverse range of panels and workshops addressing various issues facing libraries and librarians. Topics include building a learning organization, media training, EDI, protecting libraries and staff, the science of reading, and the relationship between public libraries and schools. The conference will also include the IndieLib: Librarian & Indie Publisher Summit, which aims to facilitate conversation between libraries and indie publishers. Other sessions will cover topics such as anti-racist reader services, supporting struggling readers, library business services, diversity in librarianship, defending democracy, and censorship challenges.
