Abstract

Leonardo da Vinci, a renowned artist and inventor, had a deep interest in science, particularly optics. Despite facing limitations due to his birth circumstances, Leonardo received an education in Florence and trained as an artist under Andrea del Verrocchio. In Verrocchio's workshop, Leonardo learned about science, especially optics, which influenced his artistic techniques. Leonardo's exploration of optics and his understanding of the atmosphere's impact on shadows and emotions shaped his unique approach to painting. He also studied other sciences and worked on various inventions, although many of his projects were left unfinished. Leonardo died in 1519, leaving behind a legacy of art and scientific inquiry.
