Abstract
The author draws on qualitative research to examine the influencing factors of nanny work and the future impact of this work on those who work as nannies. The author suggests this may reflect the tendencies of employers to hire those of social similarities as the employers she interviewed were also primarily white. In I Modern Day Mary Poppins: The Unintended Consequences of Nanny Work, i Laura Bunyan writes about the socio-demographic characteristics shared by nannies and their employers.
