Abstract
The People's Conference for Palestine drew thousands of attendees from around the world to Detroit, Michigan. The event featured plenaries, breakout sessions, and cultural programming on various topics related to Palestine. The conference aimed to confront Zionism in education, discuss media coverage of Palestine, and address the 2024 U.S. elections. The event was organized by 15 organizations and emphasized the power and persistence of the people in bringing about change. Additionally, the USS Liberty survivors gathered at Arlington National Cemetery to remember their shipmates who were killed in an Israeli attack on their ship in 1967. The survivors recognized each man killed, read their names, rang a bell, and added a rose beside their grave markers. The Ralph Nader Radio Hour also highlighted the genocide in Gaza and the Middle East Books and More bookstore, which supports Palestinian students through fundraising initiatives.
