Abstract
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the deletion of four sites from the Superfund National Priorities List due to the completion of response actions under CERCLA. The EPA also launched deregulatory actions to advance President Trump's executive orders, focusing on coal ash regulations. Additionally, the EPA plans to revise the Waters of the United States Rule to ensure clear and consistent rules while reducing red tape. The EPA decided not to regulate PFAS in wastewater but established a drinking water standard for six PFAS contaminants. Lastly, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources added new wells to monitor groundwater levels in northwestern Ohio, and researchers at the University of Oregon discovered a large aquifer beneath the central Oregon Cascades.
