Abstract
American campuses are currently experiencing protests related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with students advocating for divestment from Israel due to its actions in the Gaza Strip. These protests are reminiscent of the 1980s campaign against apartheid in South Africa. Younger Americans, who have only known Israel during its occupation of the West Bank and blockade of Gaza, are more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause compared to older generations. Student journalists have been documenting these protests, as professional press has been barred from some campuses. [Extracted from the article]
