Abstract
Lee's research on European relations with Nicaragua during the 1980s is novel and sheds new light on U.S. attempts to overthrow the Sandinistas. David Johnson Lee's new book deepens our understanding of Nicaragua, one of the hottest spots of the late Cold War. Lee is interested in demonstrating that events in Nicaragua led the U.S. government to change its development prescriptions during the 1980s. [Extracted from the article]
