Abstract
The Bayeux Tapestry, a 1,000-year-old artwork, is being moved to a new, state-of-the-art museum in Bayeux, France, set to open in 2027. The new museum, designed by British architecture practice RSHP, will feature improved visitor flow, accessibility for disabled visitors, and a unique viewing experience of the tapestry. The project aims to preserve and showcase this historic masterpiece, which tells the story of the conquest of England in the 11th century by William the Conqueror, in a culturally significant and engaging way.
