Abstract
The article focuses on Philip Jaisohn's contributions to Korea's independence movement and his efforts to educate the American public about Korea's plight during the early 20th century. Jaisohn, who established the first Korean-language newspaper, The Independent, and the civic organization The Independence Club, aimed to cultivate democratic values and public discourse among Koreans.
