Abstract

The article focuses on the Netflix adaptation of Agatha Christie's 1929 novel *The Seven Dials Mystery*, highlighting key plot elements and differences from the original book. The series follows Lady Eileen "Bundle" Brent as she investigates the suspicious deaths of Gerry Wade and Ronnie Devereux, uncovering a conspiracy involving a stolen formula for indestructible steel created by Dr. Cyril Matip. Unlike the novel, the adaptation introduces Lady Caterham as the mastermind behind the plot and reimagines the secret Seven Dials Society as a protective alliance led by Superintendent Battle, who offers Bundle a role within it. The series also omits the novel's romantic conclusion and updates characters and narrative pacing to suit a modern audience while maintaining the story's core mystery.
