Abstract

Designer Elizabeth Emanuel, known for creating Princess Diana's iconic wedding gown, reveals that she also made a backup dress for the wedding. The spare dress, inspired by a pink gown the Emanuels made for Diana to wear at a private ball, differed from the famous gown in several ways, including the absence of a long train. The backup dress was never finished and its whereabouts remain unknown. Elizabeth has now recreated the dress and it will be exhibited at the Princess Diana Museum in Los Angeles.
