Abstract
The article focuses on highlights from the TEFAF Maastricht art fair and the associated museum restoration efforts. TEFAF Maastricht showcases a range of artworks from early medieval manuscripts and 17th-century Dutch paintings to 19th- and 20th-century works, including a recently restituted Jacob Jordaens painting and pieces by Paul Gauguin, Auguste Rodin, and Edgar Degas. The fair increasingly incorporates Modern and contemporary art, attracting dealers and collectors interested in cross-generational programs. Additionally, the TEFAF Museum Restoration Fund has been awarded to Dresden’s Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister for the conservation of Peter Paul Rubens’s painting The Boar Hunt (1616-18), which will be exhibited in a 2027-2028 show marking Rubens’s 450th birth anniversary.
