Abstract
The article focuses on the marginalization and absence of the Grimm fairy tale "Allerleirauh" in US public library collections, highlighting how themes of incest and sexual violence are often omitted to preserve notions of childhood innocence. Topics include the narrative and cultural significance of "Allerleirauh" within the persecuted heroine tale type and the societal discomfort and censorship surrounding incestuous themes in Anglophone contexts.
