Abstract
Former US President Jimmy Carter, who passed away at age 100, was elected in the aftermath of the Watergate scandal. Carter, a peanut farmer and former governor of Georgia, achieved a historic Israeli-Egyptian peace accord but faced challenges such as an oil shortage, inflation, and the Iran hostage crisis during his presidency. After his term, Carter focused on global issues through the Carter Center and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. [Extracted from the article]
