Abstract

The article examines how the Thule Society's interpretation of German Aryan heritage contributed to the rise of National Socialism in Germany. Founded in the early 20th century, the Thule Society was rooted in anti-Semitic and nationalist ideologies, promoting the idea of a superior Aryan race linked to ancient myths and symbols, such as the swastika. The society played a significant role in the political landscape of post-World War I Germany, influencing the formation of the Nazi Party, although Adolf Hitler later sought to distance the party from its occult origins. Ultimately, while the Thule Society faded by the mid-1920s, its ideas persisted within the Nazi movement. [Extracted from the article]
