Abstract
Israel is considering a proposed cease-fire with Lebanon to keep Hezbollah fighters away from the border. The plan involves a 60-day suspension of hostilities to enforce Hezbollah's withdrawal north of Lebanon's Litani River. However, obstacles remain, as Hezbollah retains influence in Lebanon and demands a link between cease-fires in Lebanon and Gaza. The conflict has resulted in casualties and displacement on both sides of the Israel-Lebanon border. [Extracted from the article]
