Abstract

The article focuses on Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lander, which made history in March as the first private spacecraft to successfully land on the moon. In collaboration with NASA, the lander carried 10 scientific instruments, including a laser reflector for measuring the moon's shape and distance from Earth. Firefly plans to launch additional landers, including one to the moon's far side in the coming year, with future missions aimed at supporting human return to the lunar surface. CEO Jason Kim emphasizes the importance of providing necessary supplies for sustaining life as human exploration of the moon increases. [Extracted from the article]
