Abstract

This article focuses on partnerships in policing as a strategy to reduce crime and disorder globally. It analyzes 29 unique third-party policing (TPP) interventions from the Global Policing Database, highlighting variations in partnership complexity and engagement types. Partnerships range from simple dyadic collaborations to complex multi-agency efforts, with some based on cooperative agreements and others enforced through legal mandates. The study explores how these diverse partnerships function to address different crime problems across various law enforcement levels.
