Abstract
The Globe's new editor, Catherine Akeroyd, expresses gratitude to the outgoing editor, Dr. Brendan Whyte, for maintaining the journal's scholarly standards. The latest volume features research articles on historical cartography, including analyses of depictions of a southern continent and the political implications of cartographic speculation. The issue also pays tribute to the late cartographer Will Pringle and includes reviews of books exploring the diverse roles of maps throughout history. ANZMapS will host its annual conference in October 2025, inviting contributions from authors, reviewers, and readers to enrich the journal's scholarly discourse. [Extracted from the article]
