Abstract
The article focuses on the escalating crisis in Cuba following the U.S. military operation that removed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and subsequent U.S. sanctions targeting Cuba’s oil supply. These measures have intensified fuel shortages, blackouts, economic collapse, and a decline in tourism, severely impacting daily life and public services across the island. While the Cuban government promotes renewable energy installations and insists on resisting U.S. pressure, widespread hardships persist, including food scarcity and rising costs amid stagnant wages. The article also highlights uncertainties about potential social unrest, government responses, and the prospects for dialogue between Cuba and the United States under ongoing embargo policies.
