Abstract
The "caduceus" is a staff entwined with two snakes belonging to Hermes, the Greek messenger god. • In "Visiting Ophiuchus" (S&T: June 2023, p. 45), Aesculapius carries a rod with a single snake wrapped around it, known as the Staff of Aesculapius. • On page 27 in the August 2023 issue, Williamina Fleming discovered Z Centauri in December 1895 on a photographic plate taken in July of that year.
