Abstract
Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz recently chaired a cabinet session remotely, indicating that he may be recovering from an illness. The king's health had been in question since May 19, when he began undergoing medical tests and treatment for high fever, joint pain, and lung inflammation. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other officials expressed gratitude for the king's recovery. Prince Mohammed, who already manages most day-to-day affairs in Saudi Arabia, postponed a trip to Japan due to concerns over his father's health. King Salman has been ruling Saudi Arabia since 2015.
